Hubster Bday

Last week we celebrated Hubster's 40th bday... We went to dinner at Texas Land & Cattle and he had himself a man's steak! 

Of which, the boy ate almost 1/3 of... LOL

Then we had dessert at his mom's house - didn't get a pic of the carrot cake from J.Alexander's or the chocolate spice cake from Tiago's... trust me, they were unbelievable!

This past weekend we went to dinner to celebrate one of my BFF's birthday and I remembered to ask someone to take our picture, since I alway seem to forget to do that... lol

I Thank God Everday for creating you and for joining us together to get thru this life.  I love you!

The American Idol Finale was last night and I am thrilled about the results...

If you haven't watched the Finale and have managed to stay away from any news of the results, don't worry, I'm not going to ruin it for you...

A couple of days ago, I was visiting Natalie's blog, and she was blogging about complaining and about blessings.  It made me think of the "Blessings" song by Laura Story.  Since then, I've heard it quite a few times while in my car and today I really wanted to listen to the words.  I found it on YouTube along with this interview...

American Idol

Last night's performances were all top notch - but, I thought this one by Haley was super! I've liked her style and voice since the beginning. The first song she did by Lady Gaga was really good too and when it finished, I was wanting to hear it again, so I didn't agree with the judges comments.

I'm gonna step out on a limb and rank them...
1- James. I agree with Tyler's comment that it's his to lose.
2- Haley. Wow. Super.
3- Lauren. She really stepped up last night.
4- Scotty. I'd see him & Sheryl Crow in Nashville.
5- Jacob. Time's up.

I'm thinking it could be James & Haley battling it out at the end - what do you think?

On the way home from picking up Little Q we heard this song.

Vicki bought me this CD for my birthday and I love the entire CD.

This song, however, is what hooked me into making sure it was on my "birthday list."

I love the sound of the guitar and I love, Love, LOVE the lyrics.
